A Derby security company, whose clients range from Covid testing centres to the Saudi royal family, have relocated to Oberoi Business Hub in Pride Park to pave the way for future expansion.
Monarch Security was set up last September by Farhaan Bhatti and Phil Wright who have more than 25 years’ combined experience in the industry.
Having initially run the business from home, the pair have taken serviced offices at Oberoi Business Hub in St Christopher’s Way – keen to have a premium business address and a meeting location for their growing number of staff and customers.
The Oberoi Business Hub was founded by managing director Kavita Oberoi OBE in 2012 to provide high quality, cost effective and flexible service office and support services to help businesses and organisations flourish and grow.
In normal times, Monarch Security’s team of more than 200 full time and freelance security staff, would be working across the UK and Europe to provide a wide range of security services including close protection for high profile clients.
During the pandemic, the focus has been on providing security and marshalling services for essential and frontline services in the UK including supermarkets and Covid testing centres as well as manned residential security for celebrities.
Phil Wright explained: “We work with a growing number of Blue Chip companies and organisations as well as high profile individuals who require specialist close protection and security services.
“Having a premium business address is therefore important for the image of the business and we have the flexibility here to take on more space and additional services as and when our needs change.
“We are delighted to have taken office space at the Oberoi Business Hub and look forward to growing the business here in Derby and across the UK and Europe.”
Farhaan Bhatti continued: “We decided last Autumn to take the plunge and set up Monarch Security which has been our goal for sometime.
“We have been so busy since then that we have already expanded the number of full time and freelance staff who have been working on a number of contracts across the UK.
“As soon as restrictions start to be lifted particularly around travel, sport, hospitality and events, our workload will increase even further and the time was therefore right now for the move to Oberoi Business Hub in preparation for the upturn.”
Oberoi Business Hub centre manager Jodie Brady continued: “Monarch Security are a perfect example of how serviced offices and back office support provide a flexible and cost effective service to help businesses move to the next level.
“Making the right first impression is vital in today’s competitive business world and the Business Hub’s first class facilities, located in Pride Park gives our customers a premium address as well as unrivalled access to road, rail and air transport links.”
Managing director Kavita Oberoi concluded: “I am heartened by the number of enquiries we are getting from start-up and growing SMEs which hopefully reflects the vibrant entrepreneurial spirit and growing optimism amongst the local business community – despite the pandemic.
“I am particularly delighted that Monarch Security have joined our community having co-owned a similar company with more than 700 staff in previous years. It has been interesting to share industry experience and I am sure our knowledge in this field will be of benefit to this growing company.”
